Hermosa Beach Surf Lessons
Hermosa Beach Surf Lesson
We offer year-round
Hermosa Beach surf lessons.
With a population of 20,000, the Beach Volleyball capital of the world Hermosa Beach
is also famous for its surfing.
Hermosa Beach is also a "world class pedestrian city", thanks to The Strand and to the Hermosa Valley Greenbelt. Once part of a railroad easement, this lovely, narrow 24-acre (97km2) trail runs parallel to the Strand and is now part of the Federal Rails to Trails networks. At any time of day or night, joggers and walkers enjoy its rural country lane quality, home to butterflies and many bird and animal species, and graceful landscaping.
So why is Hermosa Beach the perfect place for your surf lessons?
Hermosa Beach is also the perfect beach town, offering an average 325 days of sunshine a year and a gentle westerly sea breeze to take the edge off the high summer temperatures during your surf lessons.
Powerful winter storms in the Pacific Ocean can turn typically placid and rolling South Bay waves into large monsters, a natural draw for the local surfing population. The summer provides warm water and typically smaller waves – and if you are a beginner, perfect for your Hermosa Beach surf lessons!
But Hermosa Beach has even more to offer than a great spot for surf lessons – it is also home to the AVP Hermosa Beach Open tournament, a professional beach volleyball event that takes advantage of the wide flat beach.
So book your surf lessons in Hermosa Beach today!
